San Cristobal de La Habana 20 Aniversario LCDH - 20 cigars
$1,999.00The San Cristóbal de La Habana 20 Aniversario, a La Casa del Habano exclusive release, is 6.3” (162mm) by 52 ring gauge, and comes in a humidor of 20 cigars. Its official vitola name is the Capuleto, of Double Robusto size, only used once before by Hababanos with the Romeo y Julieta De Luxe Edición Limitada of 2013. First announced in 2019 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the brand launched in 1999, the San Cristobal de La Habana 20 Aniversario only hit the shelves in late 2020, and is sold exclusively in La Casa del Habanos stores around the world. This is the third LCDH exclusive release from San Cristóbal, after the Mercaderes and the Murallas released in the mid 00’s and now discontinued. Habanos really stepped up their presentation with these cigars, as they come in a beautiful pirate’s treasure chest shaped humidor, with a mix of light and dark woods. The cigars themselves are looking amazing, massive in size but tightly packed and virtually flawless. In addition to the usual San Cristóbal band, there is also a second band, reserved to the “La Casa del Habano” exclusive cigars. San Cristobal La Punta - 25 cigars
$649.00The San Cristobal La Punta is a creamy and rich medium bodied Pyramid, 5.5” (140mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Launched by Habanos in 1999, it is hand rolled using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. It gets its name from one of the fortress of La Habana that used to defend the city during the Spanish Latin America Empire times. Despite its lack of fame, it is definitely a cigar that worth a try. Like other vitolas from the San Cristobal marca, La Punta cigar is pretty smooth, medium range in strength, overall very creamy and which develops a nice complexity of flavors along the whole smoke. There is plenty of leather, wood, barnyard, hay, nuts, toasty aromas, fruits notes, some chocolate, and some coffee. There is a delicious sweetness along the whole cigar too. Sancho Panza Non Plus - 25 cigars
$299.00The Sancho Panza Non Plus is a delightful and creamy medium bodied Petit Corona, 5.1” (129mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is somewhat close to a Vegas Robaina Familiar in taste. It presents a nice mix of flavors in the palate, such as earth, wood, peat, leather (quite salty and dank flavors), but there is also some sweetness of cocoa, vanilla, chocolate and some fruity notes of raisin, and hints of oatmeal. The Cohiba Behike 52 is an exceptional, flavorful and already aged Cuban cigar, of 52 ring gauge, 4.7” (119mm) long and comes in a box of 10 cigars. Released in 2010, this cigar is Cohiba’s most exclusive brand. Coming in a brand new format, with a heavy ring gauge, the Behike 52 (named after its ring gauge) is 119 mm long. It is rolled with the finest tobacco in Cuba, Volado, Seco and Ligero and also Medio Tiempo (which are the top leaves of only certain sun grown tobacco plants). What differentiates the BHK 52 from the other cigars from Cohiba is that the leaves used for the filler are already aged, and as a result this cigar doesn’t require aging to reveal such an exceptional taste and character. The Cohiba Behike BHK 54 is the ultimate Laguito No.1, a rich and beautiful Habano, of 54 ring gauge, 5.7” (144mm) long and comes in a box of 10 cigars. It has been released in 2010 and is part of the Behike series, which is Cohiba most exclusive brand. Habanos SA even coined it “the new standard among smokers worldwide.” It is a medium to full-bodied cigar, with a perfect construction, that has is very smooth and creamy, with great aromas of leather, cedar, floral and grassy notes. The price should not be a deterrent at this point as this is a very unique cigar that will go along any special occasion. It is an amazing enjoyment to smoke this terrific cigar to the nub. For the first time in Cohiba history, the very rare Medio Tiempo leaf is rolled, among others, in the filler. The Medio Tiempo consists of the top two leaves that grow on some sun-grown tobacco plants. This gives a very unique taste and strength to the cigar. There are also some of the finest, already aged, tobacco leaves coming from the Vuelta Abajo region. The Behike line consists of three cigars named after their ring gauges, BHK 52, BHK 54 and BHK 56, which are also getting different in size (119mm for the BHK 52, 144mm for the BHK 54 and 166mm for the BHK 56).
