The Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Dianas, part of the new top tier segment of the brand, is a delicious Robusto Extra, which comes in a box of 20 cigars. The “Linea de Oro”, literally the “golden line” in Spanish is the pendant of the Maduro 5 line for the Cohiba, the top of the crop among the Romeo y Julieta brand, launched to celebrate the brand's 145th anniversary. Habanos released three totally new cigars, which are among the biggest ring gauge cigars available among Habanos, the Hidalgos, the Nobles and Dianas. The Dianas vitola is called a Damas, 52 ring gauge by 5 ¾ inches and, as the other two, comes in a refined high lacquered box of 20 cigars. One can right away see that these cigars are different from the regular production line, as the box is painted in a very elegant red and gold colors, adorned with an embossed golden medallion on the lid, representing the classic balcony scene. Each cigar comes with a specific Linea de Oro band with the name of the cigar as well as a secondary golden band at the foot. The Hidalgos, Nobles and Dianas are all stronger than the regular Romeo y Julieta cigars, their strength around medium to full. The main flavors of the Dianas are of wood, earth and leather while the whole smoke is very creamy.

The Cohiba Behike BHK 54 is the ultimate Laguito No.1, a rich and beautiful Habano, of 54 ring gauge, 5.7” (144mm) long and comes in a box of 10 cigars. It has been released in 2010 and is part of the Behike series, which is Cohiba most exclusive brand. Habanos SA even coined it “the new standard among smokers worldwide.” It is a medium to full-bodied cigar, with a perfect construction, that has is very smooth and creamy, with great aromas of leather, cedar, floral and grassy notes. The price should not be a deterrent at this point as this is a very unique cigar that will go along any special occasion. It is an amazing enjoyment to smoke this terrific cigar to the nub. For the first time in Cohiba history, the very rare Medio Tiempo leaf is rolled, among others, in the filler. The Medio Tiempo consists of the top two leaves that grow on some sun-grown tobacco plants. This gives a very unique taste and strength to the cigar. There are also some of the finest, already aged, tobacco leaves coming from the Vuelta Abajo region. The Behike line consists of three cigars named after their ring gauges, BHK 52, BHK 54 and BHK 56, which are also getting different in size (119mm for the BHK 52, 144mm for the BHK 54 and 166mm for the BHK 56). One can see the exclusivity and luxury just by the look and feel of the sleek black box coming with the cigars, which has a nice fabric underside and a magnet latch. The Juan Lopez Seleccion No.1 is a rich and tasty medium Habanos of Grand Corona format, 5.6” (143mm) long, of 46 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. The Juan Lopez brand is one the oldest founded in Cuba, in 1876. Released in 1990s, it is fully hand-made with Vuelta Abajo filler leaves. It can be sometimes hard to find, as the production can be interrupted at times, due to high quality standards. It is a Corona Gorda format, an extraordinary compromise between a Churchill, a Hermoso No.4 and a Corona. It is full of flavors; the aromas are well balanced between woodsy, earthy, sweet and peppery aromas and some creaminess to bind it all. The texture of the Juan Lopez Seleccion No.1 is amazing, generates lots of creamy smoke and an amazing taste.
