Appearance:

The Partagas Legados come in a beautiful custom-made lacquered luxury box of 25 cigars of dark purple. The cigars have been rolled with leaves of tobacco which have matured for at least 2 years. Each cigar is of a dark brown color (maduro) and is rolled to perfection. The vitola de galera is called a Hermosos No.2, which is a Grand Corona format. The cigars are silky to the touch and virtually veinless. In addition to the standard Partagas band, each cigar sports a special gold and black 2020 Limited Edition.

Before lighting up

At cold, the Partagas Legados, gives off some notes of cacao.

Burn/ Draw

Once lit up, there are some aromas of chocolate on the palate, spices as well some refined hints of citrus. The flavors are pretty creamy and well rounded. The cigar is rich but not over powerful, the beginning is wonderful and promises a lot more.

Initial third:

Upon the first few puffs, the Partagas Legados greets us with some deep tobacco flavor, which is mixed very harmoniously with some spices. There are also some acid notes, citrus which goes very well with the overall sweetness of the cigar. The mouthfeel is very creamy and the cigar is beautiful, not too powerful, just very soft and enjoyable in its first third. The Legados burns evenly in a somewhat straight line and the ashes are holding on strongly.

Middle third:

In the middle part of the cigar, the flavors get rounder and richer. We can now detect some delicate cedar notes. The main flavor remains tobacco and some citrus. The flavors work very well together and are not over-powerful, the strength is hovering around the middle mark, which makes the Partagas Legados a very enjoyable cigar.

Final third:

In the final third, the Partagas Legados remains very rich and very creamy. It is a cigar that needs to be enjoyed slowly as it offers a wide palette of Cuban flavors. The main flavor remains the wonderful matured Cuban tobacco. The sweet and acid note of citrus is also still present and all the flavors are still working in beautiful harmony. The feel on the palate is very clean yet smooth and creamy. The intensity increases a bit at this point, so it is preferable to smoke it slowly. The burn is still very good until the end without requiring much attention.

Summary:

In short, the Partagas Legados is an ideal cigar for a special occasion, its aged tobacco gives it plenty of richness and creaminess while its perfect construction will make it a great cigar to offer as present.
