San Cristobal La Fuerza - 25 cigars

San Cristobal de La Habana 230002

Availability: Out of stock

Quick Overview

The San Cristobal La Fuerza is a smooth and complex medium bodied Robusto Extra, 4.3” (141mm) long, of 50 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Its unusual shape, longer than a Robusto, with a thick ring gauge, makes it longer to smoke, and lets you enjoy its medium body for a longer time. It is a creamy smoke with great toasty and black coffee aromas, along with some sweet molasses. Ageing this cigar permits the La Fuerza to reveal its full potential, very creamy and very complex cigar. Simply, the best vitola from the San Cristobal brand.

This cigar simply is a nice mild cigar that is a perfect morning smoke.

The San Cristobal La Fuerza comes in a dress box of 25 cigars with Habanos Packing Code CB-UW-C/L-12,13-n-25

Length: 141 mm

Diameter: 19.84 mm

Ring gauge: 50

Shape: Robusto Extra/Gordito

It is a beautiful cigar with an unusual size, called Gordito. It is looking great, perfectly rolled, with a nice dark and oily wrapper. Very few veins are there, but there are absolutely no soft spots or lumps on the cigar.

Smoking Notes:

Before lighting up

The wrapper smells of tobacco, with some sweet and floral hints

Burn/ Draw

Once cut, the draw is good, not too loose, not too tight. The cold draw reveals rich tobacco, some wood and lots of spices on the lips and through the nose. There are also some hints of sweetness (caramel, sugar, and coffee). Once lit, the cigar releases generous billows of white smoke. The burn is good as well.

Initial third:

The first third of the cigar is medium bodied, but full of flavors. The dominant flavors are of cedar, burnt toast (in a good way), and fresh tobacco. Here and there, some floral and sweet hints and some earthy tones. The spice builds up during the first third and towards the end of the first third, the white pepper flavors get pretty strong on the lips and on the tongue. Overall, the first third is creamy and not overpowering.

Middle third:

In the middle third, the cigar mellows down a bit, while the dominant flavors are still of toast, coupled with some coffee, caramel flavors, and with some hints of mint and coconut. The cigar is sligthly less creamy, the finish is dry and clean. The cigar burns very well, the burn line is neat and the dark grey ash holds on firm until the band.

Final third:

In the final third, the flavor profile remains similar, with the toasty flavors evolving towards a charcoal taste that does not last, leaving more space for a creamy caramel flavor. The spices also ramp up, the white pepper is pretty strong towards the end. There are also some hints of paprika and of coffee. The finish is long and spicy once again and remains with you even after putting down the cigar.

In summary, it is a mild and interesting cigar with rich coffee and toast flavors.

Smoking time:

60 – 80 Minutes

Smooth Flavor , 12/26/2020
By El Jefe
One of my favorite Cuban cigars. A very smooth cigar with tastes of cocoa. Not complex, but a high flavor profile. The tobacco is packed tight and the cigar requires a lower humidity level for storage in order to produce a nice draw, at 69% or lower. Light to medium in strength as it won't make the patron dizzy.
A Unique Cigar in a Unique Size , 4/5/2020

I was really excited for this cigar because this brand intrigues me. This is a great, medium-full robusto extra. It's got a really nice woody/sweet balance that continues throughout. It builds to a bold, leathery finish.
Pricey but Very Good , 10/6/2019

I'm sad that these cigars are priced so high even though they are insanely good. I had never heard of this brand and decided I wanted to try something different. Like everything else in life, you won't know until you try it. I'm glad I did... This cigar is teetering on my top 5. Maybe I'll try the torpedos and they graduate to Top 5 status. Very smooth cigar, great taste and excellent aromas.
Slightly Better than Average , 10/19/2016

Purchased in Feb 2015. Box dated Sept. 2012 so aged about four years. Overall good appearance and aroma. No construction issues, decent draw, even burn that lasted about 1:15. Decent flavor, not harsh but nothing that really excited me.

Great creamy flavor but always too hard to draw off of. Disappointing because the taste is too good to put down.
