Inspired by the popular English puppet character Mr. Punch, the brand Punch was established in Cuba in 1840 by a German named Stockmann. The puppet is still visible on the brand’s logo smoking a cigar. Popularized after 1859 by Corujo y Cia., Punch cigars tend to be medium in strength. The best selling vitolas are the Punch Punch and the Punch Punch 48 LCDH.
There is also a Hondurian Punch cigar brand that was started after the Cuban revolution. However, the original brand is Cuban Punch that is mentioned here.
