Quick Overview

The Cuaba Divinos is a powerful and tasty small cigar, of Petit Bouquet format, 43 ring gauge, 4" (101mm) long and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is masterfully made by some incredibly gifted roller, as the balanced double figurado is packed with flavors of honey, moist earth and pepper with an overtone of wood and spice. The Cuaba Divinos is the smallest of the Cuaba's. In spite of its small size, it ages very well. The Divinos is a powerful full bodied smoke and the strongest of the Cuaba line. It is a 1996 release.

Cuaba Divinos - 25 cigars [4.0" x 43]

The Cuaba Divinos is a flavor bomb and a good cigar to have after a heavy meal if you don't feel like smoking a large cigar.

  • • This vitola has a fan base that appeals to those who enjoy a spicy, edgy type smoke.
  • • The Divinos can surprise by its rapid built in power, especially the peppery finish.

Exercise caution when smoking this vitola as it can be very aggressive. Smoke it very slowly.

Presentation

The Cuaba Divinos comes in a dress box of cedar of 25 cigars with Habanos Packing Code CB-UW-C/L-12,13 n-25

Dimensions:

Length: 101 mm

Diameter: 17.07 mm

Ring gauge: 43

Shape: Petit Perfecto/Petit Bouquet

Appearance:

Visually, this cigar is an absolute treat. Its adorable little shape alone will make you want to light it up. The brown wrapper has a few veins but cause little concern. The triple cap is expertly applied. The cigar does not have a strong scent, but there are faint hints of tobacco, earth, and barnyard. The tiny foot appears to be well packed.

Smoking Notes:

Before lighting up

It has a very firm wrap, with mild aromas of tobacco and leather. A fine cap sits on this cigar and it is well packed.

Burn/ Draw

Lighting is pretty easy with such a small ring gauge. The draw is somewhat firm. The burn is a little wavy but self correcting. No touch ups required.

Initial third:

The Divinos tastes of tobacco and spice with a hint of honeyed coffee.

Middle third:

Smoke it slowly to prevent the bitterness of the coffee and dark chocolate. The flavors are balancing out and the cigar reveals its fullness. The draw is still firm and the burn is even after correcting itself. Woody and spicy flavors are now more noticeable, accompanied by earthy, wood and honey tones.

Final third:

In the last third, the cigar is very balanced and enjoyable. It gets stronger towards the end, with full flavors of sweetness, leather, wood and nuts. Still smoke slowly to prevent the buildup of harshness or heat. It has a leathery, smoky, delightfully bitter finish.

In summary, this cigar is a potent smoke and should be approached with caution.

Smoking time:

30 - 45 Minutes

The Cuaba is a well constructed short smoke. Burns well and tastes sweet. A great morning cigar with coffee.

This is the first Cuaba I have smoked. Off the bat, I'd say that I should have gone for a larger size. This was a flavorful cigar. It just ended too early. The figurado style caused a slight burn issue at the start, but it cleared up soon enough. A very good, quick smoke.
