A.J. Fernandez
Abdel J. Fernandez was born in the San Luis area of Pinar del Rio, Cuba, into a family of tobacco growers. In 2003 he followed his father, Ismael, to Nicaragua, where he first made cigars for other well-known brands before building his own company, Tabacalera Fernandez, in Esteli. Reviving the family name San Lotano helped make A.J. Fernandez one of the best-known blenders in the industry.
His house style is rich and full-flavored Nicaraguan tobacco. We carry New World, Enclave, Bellas Artes, Dias de Gloria, San Lotano and Blend 15, and A.J. Fernandez also makes Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua.
