Vegas Robaina

Habanos created Vegas Robaina in 1997 as a tribute to Cuba's tobacco growers, with Alejandro Robaina as its figurehead. His family has farmed tobacco at Cuchillas de Barbacoa, in San Luis in the Vuelta Abajo, since 1845, and Don Alejandro became one of the best-known growers in Cuba, receiving visitors from all over the world at his farm until his death in 2010, at the age of 91.
