First brand to be established after the Cuban Revolution in 1966, Diplomáticos was initially targeted at the French market and offering cigars mimicking the Montecristo line-up, with the same sizes and nomenclature but with milder blend and lighter shade wrappers. Therefore, Diplomáticos cigars are rolled in the same José Martí factory as Montecristo up to this day. The line-up used to go from the No.1 to the No.5, including the sizes comparable to the Montecristo Especial No.1 and Montecristo Especial No.2. However, by 2010, only the Diplomáticos No.2 remained. Diplomáticos received a fresh influx of new cigars in the past few years with the addition of several Regional Editions such as the Norteños rolled exclusively for the Canadian market.
Its best sellers are the Diplomaticos Nortenos 2018 Canada Regional Edition and the Diplomaticos No.2.

The Diplomaticos Reserva Exclusiva is a Medium Full, 5.9” (150mm) by 50 Geniales and comes in boxes of 25 cigars. It a 2020 exclusive release for the Caribbean region, which is only the third Regional Edition for the Caribbean region after the La Gloria Cubana Paraiso in 2014 and Juan Lopez Short Torpedos in 2008. Only 2,400 boxes have been made in Cuba and each box is numbered. The cigars are handmade with long filler with selected leaves from Vuelta Abajo plantations, -considered the best tobacco zone in the world- in the region of Pinar del Rio, Cuba. Más información
