Cuban Cigars

The Partagas Presidentes is a beautiful and strong figurado, of Taco format, 47 ring gauge, 6.2” (158mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. This figurado from Partagas is not very well known. This cigar is one of the rare competitors of the Cuabas. From its odd dimensions, close to a Julieta (same gauge but slightly shorter), it seems to be of strong flavor, and it is. The Partagas Seleccion Privada 2014 is a rich medium-full bodied Double Robusto, 6.3” (160mm) long, of 50 ring gauge, and comes in a box of 10 cigars. This new release comes with a Seleccion Privada golden ribbon wrapped around the 10 cigars and a Limited Edition 2014 band around each cigar. It is reminiscent of the Partagas Serie D No.4, maybe a bit stronger than it; a true full body cigar. The tobacco used is from the Vuelta Abajo and is aged at least two years. It is a beautiful cigar, with a flawless construction, perfect draw and a sharp burn line throughout the whole cigar. There is a lot of wood, rich coffee and a beautiful floral quality to it. The Partagas Super Partagas is an inexpensive classic Habanos, of Cremas format, 40 ring gauge, 5.5” (140mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. This is a long filler cigar, handmade with a new blend and a higher quality tobacco. A very rich cigar that has nice aromas of smoked wood, earth, cream and spices. The Super Partagas has a medium tobacco taste that is slightly sweet. Goes very well with a black coffee. Its wrapper is beautiful and oily. Even better when aged. The Rafael Gonzalez Perlas is a Cuban beauty, a medium-full bodied Petit Corona, 4" (102mm) long, of 40 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. One of the most recent cigars of the Rafael Gonzalez lineup, (released in 2011), and is a pretty short smoke, perfect for a morning break. Its construction is great; it's perfectly rolled and feels nice between the fingers. It smokes beautifully, rather slowly and has a nice creamy profile but also develops some powerful woody aromas. There are also some creamy aromas, some coffee, some spices from pepper and some berries touches. The finish is long, with vanilla and some floral aftertaste. Overall, it is a great little smoke that can age very well and evolve into an even more mellow profile. En savoir plus

The Rafael Gonzalez Petit Corona is a Habanos delight, a light bodied Mareva, 5.1” (129mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. This is a very mild cigar, however very rich in flavors with an excellent construction. Produced in limited amounts, this cigar has all the more consistency in quality. The Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas is a spectacular medium-full Petit Corona, 4.3” (110mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. This cigar deserves more consideration, despite the fact that its big brother, the Specially Selected, gets all the attention. It is also suffering from the harsh competition from other Habanos like Partagas Petit Corona, Montecristo No.4, Bolivar Petit Coronas, Cohiba Siglo II, San Cristobal De La Habana El Principe, and Por Larranaga Petit Coronas which are all outsanding smokes. The Romeo y Julieta Belvederes a lovely medium bodied Habano, of short panetela format, with 39 ring gauge, 4.9” (125mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. It is of great construction, hand rolled using only premium tobacco grown in the best tobacco growing region of Vuelta Abajo in Cuba. It packs all the typical Romeo y Julieta flavors, lots of wood and cedar, floral notes and plenty of spices and pepper. The smoke is very round, doesn’t have rough edges never aggressive.
