The Vegas Robaina Familiar, discontinued in 2012, is a powerful and complex Corona, 5.6” (129mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. The flavor profile is very similar to the other vitolas from the Vegas Robaina line up. There is a lot of creaminess, smoothness, some straightforward tobacco, some wood and cedar, coffee and chocolate. There are also notes of sweetness, molasses, nuts, leather and throughout the whole cigar some spiciness. The flavors work very well altogether; the cigar has no rough edges. The construction is as you want it, the burn doesn't require any attention, and it is a pleasure to smoke until the nub. En savoir plus

The Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro is a flavorful and creamy medium-full Double Corona, 7.6” (194mm) long, of 49 ring gauge, and comes in a 15 cigars box. The Don Alejandro gets its name after one of the most famous Cuban tobacco grower, Alejandro Robaina, which was working for the family business even before the revolution. Its amazing tobacco, growing in the Vuelta Abajo region, was many times honored by the Cuban government as Vegas Robaina was named best tobacco grower during the 1990’s. Launched in 1997 along with the brand other vitolas, it is a very beautiful cigar to start with; the wrapper is incredibly smooth and has a nice milk chocolate color. The cigar smoke starts off with lots of chocolate and creamy coffee. There is also some leather, some nuts, a bit of wood and vanilla. Some notes of cherries are also to be found. The cigar is very smooth, never too harsh, oscillating between a medium and a medium-full body. The construction is impeccable, flawless draw from the start to the finish, sharp burn line, slow burn and smokable until the nub. A great Double Corona. En savoir plus

The Trinidad Ingenios Limited Edition 2007 is an aged creamy and medium-bodied Lonsdale, 6.5” (165mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes a 12 cigars box. This is the first ever Limited Edition released by the Trinidad brand, and they are special because the binder, filler and wrapper have been aged 2 year. Being a limited edition, it is very rare to find, thus it is highly collectible. It is a very elegant cigar, with the classic Trinidad pigtail, or twist of a leaf, on the cap. There is the usual sweetness, also found in every cigar from the Trinidad lineup. There is also a lot of creaminess, flavors of wood, tobacco, earthiness and some strong floral notes. The Sancho Panza Non Plus is a delightful and creamy medium bodied Petit Corona, 5.1” (129mm) long, of 42 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. It is somewhat close to a Vegas Robaina Familiar in taste. It presents a nice mix of flavors in the palate, such as earth, wood, peat, leather (quite salty and dank flavors), but there is also some sweetness of cocoa, vanilla, chocolate and some fruity notes of raisin, and hints of oatmeal. For such an attractive price, it would be a miss not to try this Habanos. It can be a bit young and powerful, but overtime, after 2 or 3 years of ageing, the flavors will be magnified. The Romeo y Julieta Sport Largos is a flavorful mild-medium bodied Short Panetela, 4.6” (117mm) long, of 35 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Machine made and wrapped in cellophane until 2002, this cigar is now handmade and can be compared to a H Upmann Epicures, in terms of size or strength level. It has the typical Romeo y Julieta flavors, perhaps a bit harsher than the usual cigar from the brand, but it is never too strong. It is a cigar that can be enjoyed at any time of the day for a short break. It develops a wide array of flavors in such a short time, which is not an easy feat, some wood, some fruit, nuts, caramel and some floral notes.
