Cuban Cigars

The Partagas Serie D No.6 is a complex Habano, a medium-full Petit Robusto, 3.5” (90mm) long, of 50 ring gauge, and comes in a box of 20 cigars. Released at the 2014 Habanos Festival, they are the shortest cigar in the Partagas line. Very similar to the Partagas Serie D No.4 or to the D No.5, they share the same ring gauge. It is a powerful short smoke, however not as strong as the No. 4, which has the typical Partagas flavors, such as coffee, wood, vanilla, rich and strong tobacco and a good zing of pepper at times. Very good construction on this short cigar, this is a go-to cigar for a fan of the Partagas Serie D No.4 and when time is of the essence, especially in the winter. The Partagas Super Partagas is an inexpensive classic Habanos, of Cremas format, 40 ring gauge, 5.5” (140mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. This is a long filler cigar, handmade with a new blend and a higher quality tobacco. A very rich cigar that has nice aromas of smoked wood, earth, cream and spices. The Super Partagas has a medium tobacco taste that is slightly sweet. Goes very well with a black coffee. Its wrapper is beautiful and oily. Even better when aged. The Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Dianas, part of the new top tier segment of the brand, is a delicious Robusto Extra, which comes in a box of 20 cigars. The “Linea de Oro”, literally the “golden line” in Spanish is the pendant of the Maduro 5 line for the Cohiba, the top of the crop among the Romeo y Julieta brand, launched to celebrate the brand's 145th anniversary. Habanos released three totally new cigars, which are among the biggest ring gauge cigars available among Habanos, the Hidalgos, the Nobles and Dianas. The Dianas vitola is called a Damas, 52 ring gauge by 5 ¾ inches and, as the other two, comes in a refined high lacquered box of 20 cigars. One can right away see that these cigars are different from the regular production line, as the box is painted in a very elegant red and gold colors, adorned with an embossed golden medallion on the lid, representing the classic balcony scene. Each cigar comes with a specific Linea de Oro band with the name of the cigar as well as a secondary golden band at the foot. The Hidalgos, Nobles and Dianas are all stronger than the regular Romeo y Julieta cigars, their strength around medium to full. The main flavors of the Dianas are of wood, earth and leather while the whole smoke is very creamy.
