The Rafael Gonzalez Panetelas Extra is a hidden gem, a medium Short Panetela, 5’ (127mm) long, of 36 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. This cigar has been around since the 1930’s, and like other cigars from Rafael Gonzalez it is very smooth and mild, using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. Medium body at its peak, its delivers mostly smooth aromas of chocolate, coffee and of amazing tobacco. There are also notes of almond, earth, wood, bread and some floral characteristics. The Romeo y Julieta Sport Largos is a flavorful mild-medium bodied Short Panetela, 4.6” (117mm) long, of 35 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Machine made and wrapped in cellophane until 2002, this cigar is now handmade and can be compared to a H Upmann Epicures, in terms of size or strength level.
