The Jose L. Piedra Petit Caballeros is an amazing Corona Extra, 4.75” by 48, rolled with short-filler and comes in a bundle of 12 cigars. Released in 2020, it is the latest release from the Jose L. Piedra brand before the planned makeover of the brand by Habanos. Among a redesign of the logo and the band, Habanos is also moving away from the 25 cigars bundle in preference to a 12 cigars bundle. The vitola used for this cigar is called Hermoso Especial, only used before for the 2017 Punch Regios de Punch Edición Limitada. Its rather simple flavor profile is dominated by cedar, pepper and peanuts, and its perfect construction makes it the ideal cigar for an outdoor activity or when you cannot focus too much on the flavors. It is fully handmade since 2002, and it packs all the typical Romeo y Julieta flavors (floral characteristics, cedar with hints of sweetness) in a short smoke (about an hour of smoking time). It similar to the Petit Coronas from the same brand, and full of flavors. It has obviously some familiarity with the other Marevas from Romeo y Julieta. After the Short Churchill was released with great success in 2006, Romeo and Julieta modelled all their newer vitolas after this awesome cigar. This is why the Wide Churchill is slightly longer and somewhat wider than the Robusto sized Short Churchills. The cigars are packed full of smooth, subtle, medium flavored aromas. Launched in 2010.
