The Partagas Chicos is a tasteful medium-full Puritos, 4.2” (106mm) long, of 29 ring gauge, and comes in a box of 25 cigars. Partagas, one of the most eminent word brands of Habanos, has been rolling cigars since in 1827 in Cuba and has a reputation of offering full-bodied smokes. All Partagas vitolas are rich, full with earthy flavors. The Partagas Serie D No.6 is a complex Habano, a medium-full Petit Robusto, 3.5” (90mm) long, of 50 ring gauge, and comes in a box of 20 cigars. Released at the 2014 Habanos Festival, they are the shortest cigar in the Partagas line. Very similar to the Partagas Serie D No.4 or to the D No.5, they share the same ring gauge. It is a powerful short smoke, however not as strong as the No. 4, which has the typical Partagas flavors, such as coffee, wood, vanilla, rich and strong tobacco and a good zing of pepper at times. Very good construction on this short cigar, this is a go-to cigar for a fan of the Partagas Serie D No.4 and when time is of the essence, especially in the winter. The Rafael Gonzalez Perlas is a Cuban beauty, a medium-full bodied Petit Corona, 4" (102mm) long, of 40 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. One of the most recent cigars of the Rafael Gonzalez lineup, (released in 2011), and is a pretty short smoke, perfect for a morning break. Its construction is great; it's perfectly rolled and feels nice between the fingers. It smokes beautifully, rather slowly and has a nice creamy profile but also develops some powerful woody aromas. There are also some creamy aromas, some coffee, some spices from pepper and some berries touches. The finish is long, with vanilla and some floral aftertaste. It is an impressive long cigar, which is perfectly rolled, using long filler and tobacco leaves from Vuelta Abajo region. Habanos released three totally new cigars, which are among the biggest ring gauge cigars available among Habanos, the Hidalgos, the Nobles and Dianas. The Dianas vitola is called a Damas, 52 ring gauge by 5 ¾ inches and, as the other two, comes in a refined high lacquered box of 20 cigars. One can right away see that these cigars are different from the regular production line, as the box is painted in a very elegant red and gold colors, adorned with an embossed golden medallion on the lid, representing the classic balcony scene.
