Cuban Cigars

The Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Nobles, part of the new top tier segment of the brand, is a delightful Pyramid, which comes in a box of 20 cigars. The “Linea de Oro”, literally the “golden line” in Spanish is the pendant of the Maduro 5 line for the Cohiba, the top of the crop among the Romeo y Julieta brand, launched to celebrate the brand's 145th anniversary. Habanos released three totally new cigars, which are among the biggest ring gauge cigars available among Habanos, the Hidalgos, the Nobles and Dianas. The Nobles vitola is called a Triangulares, 56 ring gauge by 5 ⅜ inches and, as the other two, comes in a refined high lacquered box of 20 cigars. One can right away see that these cigars are different from the regular production line, as the box is painted in a very elegant red and gold colors, adorned with an embossed golden medallion on the lid, representing the classic balcony scene. Each cigar comes with a specific Linea de Oro band with the name of the cigar as well as a secondary golden band at the foot. The Hidalgos, Nobles and Dianas are all stronger than the regular Romeo y Julieta cigars, their strength around medium to full. The main flavors of the Nobles are cedar, leather, toast, spices, roasted coffee and a delicious tobacco taste. The Nobles has a long finish and lingers beautifully on the palate. En savoir plus

The Romeo y Julieta Piramides Anejados is a delightlful aged Habano, a medium Piramide, 6.1” (156mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. These cigars are at their peak and ready to be smoked. The cigars are of 2008 production year. En savoir plus

The San Cristobal La Punta is a creamy and rich medium bodied Pyramid, 5.5” (140mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Launched by Habanos in 1999, it is hand rolled using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. It gets its name from one of the fortress of La Habana that used to defend the city during the Spanish Latin America Empire times. Despite its lack of fame, it is definitely a cigar that worth a try. Like other vitolas from the San Cristobal marca, La Punta cigar is pretty smooth, medium range in strength, overall very creamy and which develops a nice complexity of flavors along the whole smoke. There is plenty of leather, wood, barnyard, hay, nuts, toasty aromas, fruits notes, some chocolate, and some coffee. There is a delicious sweetness along the whole cigar too. The Sancho Panza Belicosos is a smooth and tasty medium-full bodied Pyramid, 5.5” (140mm) long, of 52 ring gauge, and comes in a 25 cigars box. Sancha Panza, an old Habanos brand whereas not being the most famous, is known for several great vitolas , such as the Belicosos and the Molinos that were very popular one century ago. Thankfully, the Belicosos is still around and available. It is a praised cigar among aficionados of Habanos. Unlike other Torpedos, the Sancho Panza Belicosos not too strong and yet has the distinctive Sancho Panza taste. It is never too aggressive on the palate. En savoir plus
