H.Upmann No.2 - 25 cigars [6.1" x 52]

Many compare the H.Upmann No. 2 to the Montecristo No. 2, they are similar in terms of strength, and it is hard to say which one is the stronger of the two.

• This cigar can hold its own against a Montecristo No. 2 or the Bolivar Belicosos Finos.

• A great example of how fantastic a great Habanos pyramid can be.

In order to enjoy the full potential of the H. Upmann No. 2, it should be aged for 5 to 8 years, as with the H. Upmann No. 1.

Presentation

H.Upmann No 2 – 25 cigars comes in a dress box with Habanos Packing Code CB-UW-C/L-12,13-n-25

Dimensions:

Length: 156mm

Diameter: 20.64mm

Ring gauge: 52

Shape: Pyramid

Appearance:

It has a gorgeous oily and marbled wrapper.

Smoking Notes:

Before lighting up

The wrapper has some notes of leather and wood. The foot exhibits aromas of spice, espresso, wood and hay.

Burn/ Draw

The H.Upmann No.2 performs wonderfully, and it is a classic example that Cuba produces cigars with great construction. The draw is fantastic. The ash holds on to the cigar firmly and produces a lovely dark gray ash. The burn is razor sharp.

Initial third:

The cigar begins with some light spice, some pu-erh tea, like peat, some more wood and oak and coffee. It also delivers some creaminess.

Middle third:

The flavors in the second third really pick up, and it is here that it picks up a little more chocolate and pepper notes. There still exists some great tea, leather and oak notes to the cigar, and it has great finish of coffee and cream which are oh so enjoyable. The strength of the cigar remains at the medium level in which it was in the beginning.

Final third:

In the final third of the cigar shows a lot of flavors in great harmony. It is packed with cocoa, still the tea flavor, being very pleasant. It shows leather & spice which is wonderful. The finish tastes like coffee and cream. The cigar stays cool all the way to the end and on the last puff the cigar is still as flavorful as it had been and is still medium in body.

In summary, the flavors and aromas are first class all the way. What will really hit your taste buds are the chocolate and vanilla with the fantastic musky taste.

Smoking time:

60 - 90 Minutes

The Montecristo No.4 is full of flavor, warm and mellow when properly aged.

•	The thin ring gauge means this is a very direct and rapid burn and its responsiveness does not wane as it burns.

•	A rich and exciting blend like this needs some age to be at its best.

Wonderful tastes throughout to delight the palate. Always a consistent burn and draw.

Presentation

The Montecristo No. 4 comes in 5 packs of 5 cigars with Habanos Packing Code D-C-C/P-5-n-25

Dimensions:

Length: 129mm

Diameter: 16.67mm

Ring Gauge: 42

Shape: Petit Corona / Mareva

Appearance:

The Montecristo No. 4 is a very well constructed, very firm and well packed. Incredibly beautiful maduro wrapper, oily and silky.

Smoking Notes:

Before lighting up

The cigar is very well constructed, very firm and well packed. Smooth, oily, chocolate wrapper, with little veins. Semi-box pressed with a lightly colored wrapper and nice cap.

Burn/ Draw

The cigar lights up very easily. The draw is on the firm side, as expected from the beginning, but it's not unpleasant. Razor sharp burn.

Initial third:

It is medium bodied in the beginning, with strong taste of earth and wood, with hints of spice.

Middle third:

The cigar loads the palate with nutty notes and a hint of graham cracker. The draw is slightly looser, but still firm. The flavors are more complex, with the earthy flavor being more intense. The tones of creamy coffee and caramel appear.

Final third:

Spice, wood, cocoa and fruits, all well balanced, deliver full and balanced creamy flavors. A lot of aging potential.

In summary: completely full Cuban flavors of mocha and spicy robust zest.

Smoking time:

45 - 60 Minutes
