San Cristobal El Principe - 25 cigars [4.3 x 42]
The San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe is a good short smoke to have when the time is of the essence and still enjoying the same flavor profile.
- • This cigar can hold its own against a Partagas Shorts or a Montecristo No. 5.
- • A great example of what a great petit corona can be.
This cigar is a great digestive after a rich meal.
San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe – 25 cigars comes in a dress box of cedar with Habanos Packing Code CB-UW-C/L-12,13-n-25
Ring Gauge: 42
Shape: Petit Corona / Mareva
This cigar is simply stunning to look at. The wrapper has just a light oily sheen, and feels silky smooth to the touch. The seams are invisible. The triple cap is excellently applied. The foot appears to be well packed. It is smooth to the feel and spongy. It is well packed with no hard or soft spots.
Before lighting up
The cigar does not have a strong scent but there are faint hints of tobacco, earth, and barnyard with mild aromas of grassy tobacco.
Lighting is pretty easy with such a small ring gauge. The draw is very good. The burn is a little wavy but self correcting. No touch ups required.
The El Principe tastes of grass, crème, honey and also tastes like a bigger cigar. The cigar delivers thick, rich and grassy smoke, with cedar, nutmeg, coffee and earth flavors.
Smoke it slowly to prevent the bitterness of coffee and dark chocolate. The flavors are balancing out and the cigar reveals its medium to full body. The draw is still good and the burn is even after correcting itself. Woody and spicy flavors are now more noticeable, accompanied by earthy, wood and honey tones.
In the last third, the cigar is very balanced and enjoyable. It gets stronger towards the end, with full flavors of sweetness, leather, wood and nuts, but it never becomes harsh or hot. It has a leathery, smoky, grassy finish.
In summary, it's intense and tasty from the first puff, though not with a very strong nicotine punch.

- This is one of those cuban cigars that are great fresh and only get better with age. While construction isn't perfect and sometimes creates burn issues, the flavor more than makes up for it.
- this little cigar is great after just a couple of days rest ! cant wait too see how they age

A compliment after a good breakfast
The El Principe is a good everyday cigar that wont disappoint you considering the price.
From start to end, is a medium bodied cigar with a bit of fullness towards the last third. There is a bit of tingling pepper but the overall taste was woody.
