Buy a box and age it! Can smoke now too ;) , 5/23/2015 By JohnHarvard

El Laguito Factory - FEB 10 - Aged 5 years: Just finished one of these bad boys that I’ve had aging in my humidor for 5 years. Pre-lit aroma was very faint, afraid that it lost its flavor too; very wrong. The first few puffs were disappointing because it tasted like papery tobacco leaf (probably due to a split/damaged foot), but that’s where the bad ended. At the 4th puff the a mild espresso jumped out at me and lasted for a good one third of the stick. That transitioned into Spanish cedar and toasted nuts. Then the most remarkably thing happened: days ago I smoked a fresh Cohiba Robusto I picked up at LCDH while travelling Cuba last month—for comparison for this one. That fresh stick had peppery notes throughout, this aged one had NONE, EVER! I could sense that pepper wanted to pop out but instead it came through as salt, followed by dark chocolate. The final third was a blended mix of roasted coffee bean, Spanish cedar, and a dead ringer for a salty espresso mixed with dark chocolate. Nubbed it without ever getting the lip-tingle, nicotine hit, or aftertaste on the tonge. The cleanest Cohiba I’ve smoked to date. Take note friends, AGE is key!

I don't know what to say. I'm in midst of saving up for a box of this!

First few puff was ok, typical cohiba flavour then somewhere after the 5th puff, it hit me. Very strong body cigar that I believe will taste even better if it's aged.

I will build a storage before I proceed with a box of this CoRo as I think these babies need proper home treatment!

Powerful cigar, probably not for the new smoker, with very strong flavors and aroma.

Ordered a 10 pack of cigars and the Cohiba Robustos SLB was one of the ten. I started puffing one with my door closed upstairs. When my wife walked in, she asked me what was I smoking because whatever it is, it's very strong but it smells good though. Needless to say I got a box of 25 right when we were chatting. I am a very satisfied customer.

From the same box as previously reviewed in April. In anticipaton of the holiday weekend, I dry boxed this cigar for 24 hours. The additional 4 months of rest has mellowed this cigar. Still full bodied, it is distinctly smoother and its character has devoloped more fully. I strongly suggest purchasing this cigar. My boxes have been purchased from Cigar Terminal

I purchased this Cohiba Robustos from Cigar Terminal. Dry boxed for 48 hours prior to smoking. I have smoked many boxes of this Cuban cigar over the past years and I respect the consistency of this Cohiba. Perfect construction and burn with a flavour that to me is uniquely a Cuban Cohiba. A powerful stong tasting robusto, it deserves respect and patience. Very consistent taste from first light to conclusion. Worthy of its high reputation, I suggest all should have a few in their humidor.

My tastes lean more to cigars that are easy to smoke, but still have great discernible qualities. Whereas the Cohiba Robusto was far too strong and did not, for me, possess easily found scents of anything recognizable. It unleashes a powerful assault of heavy smoke and strong tobacco taste on your palate that I find almost offensive.

I find a lot more enjoyable smokes that don't cost as much and treat you with a lot more respect.

Incidentally, I smoked about half the box and allowed anyone who came over to help themselves to smoking as many as they wanted. Any other Habanos I have are typically my private stash and if need be, I will join my smoking buddies by smoking a Roi Tan while keeping my Cubans hidden under my bed. Try talking up a Roi Tan while sitting around with a group of seasoned wannabe cigar mavens.
