Montecristo No.5 - 10 cigars

I'm usually a Monte #4 kind of guy, but received a few of these in sampler packs lately. This specific cigar rested in my humidor for over a year. The verdict: AWESOME.

The wrapper had a few blemishes, but true to Montecristo form, it smoked wonderfully and delicious. The first 1/4 inch was bitter, as expected, then it turned smooth and creamy and kept an ember easily. I think the resting really let it cure, as it smoked easily and smoothly all the way to the last inch, when it started having a hard time staying warm and got a little spicy. I almost chose a #4 tonight, but am so pleased with my choice of the #5.
