Quick Overview

The Partagas Habaneros is an affordable and beautiful everyday cigar of Belvedere format, 39 ring gauge, 4.9” (125mm) long and comes in a box of 25 cigars. Its construction is great and has lots of complexity with aromas of wood, coffee, leather and pepper. The balance of flavor is spot on thanks to sweet notes of caramel and vanilla. The cigar is mild and never too harsh, between a medium body and a medium to strong body. A great everyday cigar.

Presentation

Partagas Habaneros comes in a dress box of 25 cigars with Habanos Packing Code CB-UW-C/L-12,13-n-25

Dimensions:

Length: 125 mm

Diameter: 15.48 mm

Ring gauge: 39

Shape: Belvedere

Appearance:

The cigar is looking great; it is fully hand-rolled, using a longfiller. It is firm to the touch when squeezed between the fingers.

Smoking Notes:

Before lighting up

The wrapper smells of tobacco. And the pre-light draw gives some spices, chocolate and floral notes.

Burn/ Draw

Once cut, the draw is great, a bit tight, but just enough. It then opens up nicely. When lit, there are instantly some spices on the lips.

Initial third:

The first third of the cigar is dominated by spices; there is good hit of pepper and toasted tobacco right from the start. Once the strong spices dissipate, one can taste some darker flavors such as black coffee, leather, and also some earthy and woodsy aromas of cedar. There are also some nutty and sweet toasty notes. Overall, the first third is medium.

Middle third:

In the middle third, the peppery flavors are still dominant, there is also a strong taste of tobacco. There also earthy and salty notes, overall pretty dry. But aromas of chocolate and sweet toffee also join the mix, making this third pretty complex while still pretty mild.

Final third:

In the final third, the flavors are even more complex, in addition to tobacco, cedar and coffee, there is now some nice creamy aromas, some sweet vanilla and a kind of spice that one can find in pastries. You do not want to put it down, it is very smooth and pleasant.

In summary, this a great medium bodied everyday cigar, full of flavors.

Smoking time:

50 – 70 Minutes

No doubt, best value. , 5/6/2019

Best bang for money no doubt at all. I smoke Cuban cigars very widely. Just discovered the Habanero recently and have bought six or more boxes now. This cigar is exploding with complexity and flavour from really high end tobacco. How they ended this blend in such a small and affordable cigar? No idea. I have been lucky too going by other reviews here and have had only one plugged in 4 boxes now. Draw consistency way higher than many more costly boxes. Intending to buy more of these. Just perfect for my palate.

It's a good solid cigar and value for money. Although consistency is an annoying issue, There are 5 in a box that's too tight for a smooth draw, a couple with wrapper cracks, and 15 that are just right.

Smoky, fragrant, strong cigar, good balance of taste, aroma and strength. At the beginning of the flowers, like something on Mille Fleurs, but not so rustic. From the second third of the impression that is about to appear nuts, but in the obvious form they are not in the aftertaste of the skin of the walnut kernel. Strength feels dropped to average. And only after dumping the ashes in the middle appears more or less distinct taste of roasted nuts. Strange, but the taste does not fall into the standard description of "earthy-peppery". Towards the end of the second third there was a taste of roasted tobacco with almonds and a refreshing slight tingling. Often smoke Panatela, when I have no much time to allocate.
